One Inspired Dude
TV Show Adventure

Eric is a 41 year-old man who has crafted a life of unusual freedom for himself. He spends his days caring for his young daughter, coaching tennis, and contemplating what to do with his life.

Unfortunately, all his self-reflection hasn’t yielded much. Outside of being a father, no particular career path speaks to him. In the quiet moments, he’s keenly aware that he’s floating and that the years are passing. It also occurs to him that should his living situation change, he might be forced to give up his cherished freedom. This thought gives him some welcome urgency, but what to do remains a mystery.

What he does know is that, since childhood, he’s been fascinated with human potential. It just hasn’t added up the way he imagined it would in his own life. Though he’s had some highs over the years, he imagined he’d be a much more self-actualized person. His epiphany is that he just needs to be himself for a living, which he’s already doing, only challenge himself to the utmost.

Thus, a career of his own making is born, which he christens ‘Professional Me.’ For structure and urgency, Eric launches a Quest with an outrageous dream list and a commitment to pursue them wholeheartedly and creatively for ten years. How much can he enjoy the journey? What dreams can he still realize? What will generate deep fulfillment in this world?

Eric’s Quest as he raises his daughter is to answer these questions, and he invites viewers along for the ride. It features him, but it poses the question of what is possible for all of us, answering it in an unimaginably entertaining, compelling, and emphatic way.
